Job Description

Sophon Technologies is offering an exciting opportunity for qualified individuals to join us in the role of Software Engineer, focusing on an automotive product. As a Software Engineer at Sophon Technologies, your main responsibility will be developing Java GUI Applications within the automotive sector. You will have the chance to work on high-quality software applications, analyze and maintain existing software, and generate innovative solutions for tools. Your role will also involve designing and implementing scalable and testable code, as well as identifying and resolving programming bugs. The ideal candidate for this position should have 1-3 years of experience in software development. Basic qualifications include a Bachelors/Masters degree in computer science or a related field, along with proficiency in Java and C++. In terms of technical qualifications, you should be proficient in developing Java standalone GUI applications and have familiarity with tools such as Eclipse IDE, Ant/Maven/Gradle. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of Java Swing/SWT/AWT packages, with knowledge of XML file parsing being desirable. Experience in the automotive tooling domain is also considered a plus. This full-time position is based in Belgaum, Karnataka. You must be willing to commute or relocate to Belgaum, Karnataka, as in-person work is required. The expected start date for this role is 01/07/2025.
