Site Technician – Instrumentation

Job Summary:

Maxima is seeking skilled and dedicated Site Technicians to carry out Instrumentation Installation and Commissioning work at various project sites. The technician will be responsible for the proper installation, wiring, termination, and commissioning support of field instruments, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install field instrumentation including transmitters, switches, sensors, and control valves as per drawings.
• Lay and terminate signal and power cables at junction boxes, marshaling panels, and control panels.
• Assist in performing loop checks, instrument calibration, and signal testing during commissioning.
• Follow instructions from Site Supervisor/Engineer and ensure work is executed safely and efficiently.
• Conduct field marking, tagging, and cable tray installation.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Report material shortages, installation issues, or deviations from drawings to supervisors.
• Adhere strictly to site safety regulations and wear required PPE at all times.
• Assist in testing and troubleshooting instruments during pre-commissioning and commissioning stages.

Qualifications & Experience:

• ITI / Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Electronics.
• 2–5 years of experience in field instrumentation work in industrial environments.
• Knowledge of basic instrumentation principles and field installation practices.
• Experience with pressure, temperature, flow, level instruments, and valves.
• Exposure to calibration tools and test equipment preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

• Ability to read basic engineering drawings (P&IDs, cable schedules, hookup diagrams).
• Practical knowledge of wiring, termination, and loop checking.
• Good manual skills and attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic, discipline, and willingness to learn.
• Basic communication skills to interact with site teams and supervisors.

Working Conditions:

• Site-based role with extended working hours depending on project stage.
• Travel and long-term stay at project sites across India.
• Must be physically fit and comfortable working in industrial conditions.
