SEO Specialist

We are looking for a skilled WordPress Content & SEO Specialist to manage and optimize our website content, ensuring it aligns with SEO best practices. The ideal candidate will have experience working with WordPress as a CMS, creating SEO-optimized content, and implementing on-page and technical SEO strategies to enhance search engine rankings.

Key Responsibilities
1. WordPress Content ManagementManage and update content on WordPress, including blogs, landing pages, and website pages.Format posts/pages with proper headings, images, internal links, and SEO-friendly URLs.Customize page layouts using WordPress page builders (Elementor, Gutenberg, WPBakery, etc.).Troubleshoot and fix basic WordPress issues such as plugin conflicts and page speed optimization.2. Content Creation & OptimizationWrite and publish high-quality, SEO-optimized content for the website and blog.Conduct keyword research to identify relevant topics and content opportunities.Optimize existing content for keywords, readability, meta tags, and schema markup.Use SEO tools like Yoast SEO, Rank Math, or SEOPress for on-page optimization.Ensure content follows best practices for search engine visibility, engagement, and conversions.3. SEO & Performance OptimizationImplement on-page SEO techniques: keyword optimization, internal linking, and proper heading structures.Ensure technical SEO elements such as XML sitemaps, robots.txt, structured data, and canonical tags are correctly implemented.Monitor and improve website speed, Core Web Vitals, and mobile responsiveness.Stay updated with Google algorithm updates and apply necessary adjustments to the content strategy.Track keyword rankings, traffic, and performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMrush/Ahrefs.4. Link Building & OutreachCollaborate with content writers and outreach teams for guest posting and backlink acquisition.Implement an internal linking strategy to improve content discoverability.Identify broken links and replace them with relevant content.5. Collaboration & ReportingWork closely with developers, designers, and marketing teams to ensure seamless content integration.Develop monthly reports on website performance, keyword rankings, and SEO efforts.Recommend improvements based on data insights and industry trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in WordPress CMS (customizing themes, using plugins, and troubleshooting).Strong understanding of SEO (on-page, technical, and content optimization).Experience with SEO tools like Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Moz.Content writing skills with a focus on readability, engagement, and keyword optimization.Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and structured data (Schema.org) for SEO purposes.Understanding of Core Web Vitals, page speed optimization, and mobile-first indexing.Familiarity with Google Analytics (GA4) and reporting tools.Experience with email marketing, social media integration, and content distribution (a plus).Preferred QualificationsExperience with WordPress page builders (Elementor, Divi, Gutenberg, etc.).Knowledge of conversion rate optimization (CRO) and user experience (UX).Experience in writing for different industries (e.g., SaaS, eCommerce, B2B).Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Photoshop) for creating visuals for blog posts.
