Job Description

As a member of Zendesk's engineering team in Australia, your main objective is to improve the customer experience by developing products that cater to over 170,000 global brands. These brands, including Discord, Calm, and Skyscanner, rely on Zendesk's solutions to ensure customer satisfaction on a daily basis. Working within a highly innovative and fast-paced environment, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of individuals from around the world, contributing to the success of some of Zendesk's most beloved products. This position is a hybrid role that combines remote work with on-site requirements, necessitating three days in the office and relocation to Pune. You will be part of a dynamic team focused on creating distributed, high-scale, and data-intensive integrations that enhance Zendesk's core SaaS product. Collaborating with other SaaS providers and cloud vendors such as Slack, Atlassian, and AWS, you will be involved in incorporating cutting-edge technologies and features to deliver top-notch solutions to customers. Your daily responsibilities will include designing, leading, and implementing customer-facing software projects, emphasizing the importance of good software practices and timely project delivery. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to influence others diplomatically are essential qualities for this role. Additionally, you will be expected to demonstrate leadership qualities, mentor team members, and consistently apply best practices throughout the development cycle. To excel in this role, you should have a solid background in Golang for high-volume applications, at least 2 years of experience in frontend development using JavaScript and React, and a strong focus on long-term solution viability. Experience in identifying and resolving reliability issues at scale, effective time management, and building integrations with popular SaaS products are also key requirements. The tech stack you will be working with includes Golang, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Redux, React Testing Library, Cypress, Jest, AWS, Spinnaker, Kubernetes, Aurora/MySQL, DynamoDB, and S3. Please note that candidates must be physically located and willing to work from Karnataka or Maharashtra.
