Job Summary: The Senior Production and Supply Chain Manager will lead the strategic planning and execution of production activities, subcontractor management, and supply chain operations within the electronics manufacturing sector. This role demands a proactive and decisive leader capable of managing complex projects, ensuring supply chain stability, and fostering strong collaboration between the headquarters and subsidiary teams. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Indian electronics business landscape, coupled with extensive experience in production planning, logistics, purchasing, and leadership. Responsibilities: Strategic Production Planning & Scheduling: Develop and implement comprehensive production plans and schedules to optimize resource utilization and meet strategic objectives. Analyse market trends and demand forecasts to ensure efficient production and inventory management. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs. Subcontractor Management & Oversight: Manage and oversee all subcontractor activities, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and quality assurance. Establish and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, ensuring alignment with company standards and delivery schedules. Proactively address and resolve any subcontractor-related issues or disputes. Supply Chain Stability & Optimization: Coordinate with the headquarters team to ensure seamless supply chain operations and mitigate potential disruptions. Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and improve overall supply chain efficiency. Monitor and analyse supply chain performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement. Project Management & Execution: Lead and manage complex projects related to production, supply chain, and logistics, ensuring timely and on-budget completion. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, and effectively communicate progress to stakeholders. Identify and mitigate project risks and implement contingency plans as needed. Headquarters & Subsidiary Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between the headquarters and subsidiary teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment. Provide regular updates on work progress to the headquarters team and collaborate on strategic initiatives. Coordinate with the headquarters team to ensure supply chain stability. Purchasing & Logistics Management: Oversee purchasing activities, ensuring cost-effective procurement of materials and components. Manage logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure timely delivery of goods. Implement and maintain efficient inventory control systems. Leadership & Team Management: Provide strong leadership and guidance to the production and supply chain teams. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop team members, ensuring they have the skills and resources needed to succeed. Mandatory Skills and Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelors degree in operations management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of demonstrable experience in production planning and scheduling within the electronics manufacturing industry. Proven experience in subcontractor management, purchasing, logistics, and team leadership. Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of production, inventory, and supply chain processes within the Indian electronics business landscape. Basic understanding of engineering and QA processes within the electronics field. Leadership & Decision Making: Self-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Proven ability to make quick and sound decisions under pressure. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Ability to analyse complex data and develop effective solutions. Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with ERP systems or advanced production planning software. Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships. Ability to coordinate with headquarters and subsidiaries. Organizational & Time Management: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred Skills (Optional): Master’s degree in a relevant field. Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP). Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies. Experience in international supply chain management. Knowledge of import and export procedures.
