Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our data science team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models and algorithms that power intelligent systems. This role requires a deep understanding of statistical modelling, data engineering, and software development best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable machine learning models and pipelines for real-world applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, product managers, and software developers.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model selection.
• Evaluate models using appropriate metrics and validate performance with A/B testing.
• Deploy ML models into production using cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Continuously monitor model performance and retrain as needed.
• Document methodologies, experiments, and project outcomes.
• Mentor junior ML engineers and contribute to team development and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong programming skills in Python (preferred), R, or Java.
• Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning).
• Experience with ML frameworks like Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost, or LightGBM.
• Proficiency in data processing using Pandas, NumPy, and SQL.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS Sagemaker, GCP Vertex AI, Azure ML).
• Experience in deploying models using REST APIs, Docker, or CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with deep learning for computer vision or NLP.
• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
• Background in statistics, optimization, or operations research.
• Contribution to open-source ML projects or published research papers.
