Job Description

Job Purpose: To design, implement, and deliver training programs that improve the knowledge, skills, and performance of staff across departments in the manufacturing unit. The trainer will support employee on boarding, compliance training, technical upskilling, and soft skills development. Key Responsibilities: Conduct induction and orientation programs for new staff. Develop and deliver training sessions on company policies, safety protocols, compliance (e.g., POSH, EHS), and standard operating procedures. Provide job-specific training for staff in production, quality, maintenance, stores, and other departments. Identify training needs through job analysis, performance appraisals, and consultation with department heads. Organize soft skills workshops (e.g., communication, teamwork, time management). Prepare training materials, manuals, presentations, and assessments. Maintain detailed records of training attendance, evaluations, and effectiveness. Evaluate the impact of training programs through feedback and performance improvement. Stay updated with manufacturing trends and compliance requirements. Coordinate with external trainers or agencies as needed. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong communication and presentation skills (Tamil and English mandatory). Ability to engage adult learners across educational and experience levels. Knowledge of training methodologies (classroom, on-the-job, digital). Familiarity with labor laws, workplace safety, and HR compliance topics. Problem-solving, adaptability, and good interpersonal skills. Qualifications & Experience: Graduate in HR, Psychology, Education, or relevant field; Diploma in Training & Development is a plus. 3+ years of experience in staff training or HR development in a manufacturing environment. Experience working with blue-collar and white-collar employees. Working Conditions: Factory and office-based role with occasional shopfloor visits. May involve travel between units if applicable. Working hours aligned with factory shifts or general shift.
