Job Description

About Company:

Papigen

Senior Data Modeler

Responsibilities:

Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical
data models
based on business needs.
Work on
Azure cloud technologies
including
Azure Data Lake
,
Azure Data Factory
, and
Dremio
for data virtualization.
Create and maintain
Low-Level Design (LLD)
documents,
Unit Test Plans
, and related documentation.
Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and analysts to ensure accurate and scalable data modeling.
Optimize data-related processes and adhere to coding and modeling standards.
Conduct
integration testing
and support
bug fixing
throughout the SDLC.
Participate in
SCRUM
ceremonies and work closely with
onshore and offshore teams
.
Manage timelines, deliverables, and communicate blockers or tradeoffs proactively.
Assist with documentation required for
OIS clearance
and compliance audits.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors in Computer Science
or related field.
8+ years
of professional experience in
data modeling
(logical & physical).
Strong expertise in
SQL
and experience with
relational databases
and
data warehouses
.
Hands-on experience with data modeling tools like
Erwin
or equivalent.
5+ years
working with
Azure Data Lake
,
Azure Data Factory
, and
Dremio
.
Solid understanding of
data structures
,
indexing
, and
optimization techniques
.
Performance tuning skills for models and queries in large datasets.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Highly organized, collaborative, and proactive team player.
