Job Title: Safety Manager

Job Purpose:

To ensure compliance with all safety regulations and implement safety management systems that minimize risks to employees, equipment, and the environment within the automobile manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor company-wide safety policies, procedures, and programs.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments in manufacturing areas (welding, painting, assembly lines, etc.).
• Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory safety requirements (e.g., Factories Act, ISO 45001).
• Investigate accidents/incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Train and educate employees on safety protocols, use of PPE, and emergency response procedures.
• Lead the internal safety committee meetings and coordinate with department heads to enforce safety practices.
• Develop and execute emergency preparedness and fire safety drills.
• Coordinate with external agencies like pollution control boards, fire departments, and other statutory bodies.
• Maintain all safety-related documentation and records.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement in workplace safety.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Safety Management; Diploma in Industrial Safety (recognized by State/Central Govt) is mandatory.
• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in industrial safety, preferably in the automobile or heavy engineering industry.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of safety laws, EHS standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in risk assessment tools and incident investigation methods.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 (OHSAS), and other relevant standards

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
