Responsibilities :
- Lead and execute SAP ECC migrations to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or private cloud), adhering to project timelines and quality standards.
- Perform comprehensive system analysis of existing SAP ECC landscapes to identify migration requirements, dependencies, and potential challenges.
- Develop and implement detailed cloud migration plans, including cutover strategies and rollback procedures.
- Apply strong SAP Basis administration skills to manage and maintain SAP ECC systems throughout the migration process.
- Optimize the performance of SAP ECC systems in cloud environments, including sizing, resource allocation, and performance tuning.
- Lead and coordinate cloud migration projects, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams (SAP functional teams, infrastructure teams, security teams, etc.).
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and problem resolution during all phases of the cloud migration process.
- Implement and enforce robust security measures and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations within the cloud environment.
- Utilize SAP data migration tools and methodologies (e.g., SAP Migration Cockpit, Software Update Manager - SUM with Data Migration Option - DMO) to efficiently migrate data to the
cloud.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery strategies and solutions for SAP ECC systems in the cloud.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to provision and configure necessary cloud resources for SAP ECC.
- Explore and implement automation tools and scripts (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, SAP LaMa) to streamline migration processes and reduce manual effort.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud migration best practices, tools, and technologies relevant to SAP ECC.
- Contribute to the development of migration templates, methodologies, and knowledge base articles.
- Potentially assist with migrations from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA in a cloud environment.
- Document all aspects of the cloud migration process, including architecture diagrams, configuration details, and lessons learned.
Technical Skills :
- SAP ECC Cloud Migration : Proven hands-on experience in migrating SAP ECC systems to at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) or a private cloud environment.
- SAP Basis Administration : Strong foundational knowledge and practical experience in SAP Basis administration for SAP ECC systems, including system installation, configuration,
patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.
- Cloud Infrastructure : Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts and services offered by AWS, Azure, or GCP, including compute, storage, networking, and security.
- SAP Data Migration Tools : Experience with SAP data migration tools and methodologies relevant to SAP ECC, such as SAP Migration Cockpit or SUM with DMO.
- System Analysis and Performance Optimization : Ability to analyze SAP ECC system landscapes, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies in a cloud environment.
- Disaster Recovery : Understanding of disaster recovery principles and experience implementing DR solutions for SAP ECC in the cloud.
- Automation Tools (Beneficial) : Familiarity with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or SAP Landscape Management (LaMa) is a plus.
- Scripting (Beneficial) : Basic scripting skills in languages like Python or Shell scripting for automation tasks are advantageous.
- Networking (Basic Understanding) : Basic understanding of network concepts relevant to cloud deployments.
- Security in the Cloud : Awareness of security best practices for SAP systems in cloud environments.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ECC cloud migrations.
- Proven experience in SAP Basis administration.
- Experience working with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong understanding of SAP system landscapes and architecture.

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Associate, or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect certifications.
- SAP Basis certification.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA migrations.
- Familiarity with SAP HANA database administration.
- Experience with SAP transport management and change control processes.
