Sampling Tailor Trainer

The Sampling Tailor Trainer is responsible for delivering practical and theoretical training to students or trainees in the domain of garment sampling, stitching, and tailoring techniques. The trainer will ensure that learners acquire the required skills and knowledge to develop garment samples as per industry standards and buyer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver structured training sessions on sampling and garment development techniques.
• Train learners in fabric cutting, stitching, finishing, and assembly of garments with varied designs, necklines, sleeves, collars, etc.
• Explain garment construction processes, quality standards, and industry best practices.
• Evaluate trainee performance through practical assessments and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure adherence to training curriculum aligned with NSQF standards and SSC guidelines (if applicable).
• Maintain training records, batch attendance, and assessment reports.
• Support the mobilization and counseling of candidates when required.
• Coordinate with the center coordinator/PMU for training-related activities and updates.
• Ensure upkeep of training equipment and machines.

Essential Skills & Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of garment sampling, stitching, and tailoring methods.
• Hands-on expertise in operating industrial sewing machines and fabric handling.
• Strong understanding of garment measurements, grading, and production standards.
• Excellent communication and teaching skills, with a learner-centric approach.
• Ability to engage, motivate, and guide trainees with varying learning needs.
• Familiarity with training methodologies and assessment techniques.
• Basic computer knowledge for maintaining digital records (preferred).

Eligibility Criteria:

Minimum Educational & Experience Qualifications (any one of the following):

• 8th Class with 4 years of relevant industry experience
• 8th Class + ITI (in relevant trade) with 2 years of experience
• 10th Class with 2 years of relevant experience
• Certificate – NSQF Level 3 with 2 years of experience as a Sewing Machine Operator/ Sampling Tailor.

Preferred Qualifications:

• TOT Certified Trainer (Training of Trainers – preferred for skill training institutions)
• Female candidates preferred (Encouraging diversity and inclusion)

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
