Key Responsibilities 1. Workplace Safety Compliance: · Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures in line with local laws and industry standards. · Conduct routine inspections and audits of the factory to identify safety hazards and ensure proper mitigation measures are in place. 2. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment): · Ensure all workers are provided with and are using appropriate PPE at all times. · Maintain inventory of PPE and oversee its proper storage, distribution, and usage training. 3. Hazard Identification & Signage: · Conduct hazard identification exercises and ensure appropriate warning and safety signs are installed throughout the facility. · Regularly review sign placements and update based on any process or layout changes. 4. Electrical Safety · Ensure proper installation and maintenance of electrical switchboards and wiring across the factory. · Work with electrical teams to ensure systems are compliant with safety standards and risk-free. 5. Fire Safety & Compliance · Ensure the factory complies with fire safety norms including fire extinguisher placements, fire drills, and evacuation routes. · Organize periodic fire safety training and drills for employees. · Liaise with fire department and maintain updated fire NOC and documentation. 6. Training & Awareness · Conduct regular safety training sessions for all staff and new employees. · Lead toolbox talks and create awareness around safe practices in daily operations. 7. Incident Reporting & Investigation · Investigate and document all workplace accidents or near-miss incidents. · Provide detailed reports with corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Qualifications & Skills 1. Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or related field. 2. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or industrial setup. 3. In-depth knowledge of local HSE regulations and compliance standards. 4. Certification in fire safety, first aid, or NEBOSH/IOSH is preferred. 5. Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills. 6. Proficiency in safety audits, reporting, and documentation Working Conditions: 1. Full-time position, in a factory environment. 2. May require occasional overtime. 3. Must be able to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
