Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits.
• Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety gear.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety drills, and awareness programs for site workers.
• Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents, prepare reports, and implement preventive measures.
• Maintain and update safety documentation, including safety manuals, checklists, and incident logs.
• Liaise with site management, contractors, and government bodies on safety matters.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company safety policies.
• Train workers and staff on health, safety, and environmental practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in construction site safety management.
• Knowledge of local labor laws, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Strong observation, reporting, and communication skills.
• Certification in First Aid, Fire Safety, or NEBOSH/IOSH (preferred).
• Ability to work under pressure and in challenging site environments.
• Proficient in MS Office and safety reporting tools.

Preferred:

• Experience in residential, commercial, or high-rise building construction projects.
• Ability to influence behavior and create a culture of safety on-site.
• Fluent in local language and English for effective communication with labor and management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
