Location: Thoppampatti Pirivu, Coimbatore – Onsite

Work Schedule: 6 Days a Week, Rotational Shifts

Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Safety Officer to join our team at Unit 1, Emerald Jewel Industry India Limited. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment in compliance with statutory and organizational safety regulations and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and enforce safety policies, procedures, and programs across the facility.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Monitor workplace activities to ensure all employees comply with safety standards and regulations.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct safety training and awareness programs for new and existing employees.
• Maintain up-to-date records of safety audits, incident reports, and training activities.
• Coordinate with various departments to promote and implement safety culture.
• Assist in emergency preparedness planning and response drills.
• Liaise with government bodies and ensure compliance with statutory requirements (e.g., TN Factories Act, Environmental regulations).

• Sound knowledge of safety standards and statutory compliance
• Strong observational and analytical skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in safety documentation and report writing
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts
