Job Description

A delivery courier's primary responsibility is to transport packages and documents between locations, ensuring timely and secure delivery while maintaining a positive customer experience. They are the public face of the company, interacting directly with customers and representing the company's service standards. Key Responsibilities: Package Handling and Delivery: Picking up, loading, transporting, and delivering items, often following a set route or schedule. Customer Interaction: Interacting with customers, confirming deliveries, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues. Route Navigation: Utilizing GPS or maps to navigate effectively and efficiently to delivery locations. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, including signatures, times, and any discrepancies. Vehicle Maintenance: Ensuring the delivery vehicle is well-maintained and following traffic laws. Safety Compliance: Adhering to all safety protocols and company policies. Communication: Communicating with dispatchers or supervisors about any delays or problems. Collaboration: Working with other teams (e.g., warehouse, customer service) to ensure smooth delivery operations. Essential Skills: Driving Skills: Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and ability to operate a vehicle safely. Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing a positive customer experience. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple deliveries, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records. Problem-Solving: Ability to address and resolve customer issues and adapt to unexpected situations. Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and carry packages, sometimes of significant weight.
