Role & responsibilities Role: Business Development Manager Position Summary: The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue growth. The BDM will act as a key driver in expanding the companys market presence, enhancing brand visibility, and achieving long-term business goals. Key Responsibilities: 1. Lead Generation & Prospecting Identify potential clients and new business opportunities across target markets. Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and market demands. Generate and qualify leads through cold calls, emails, events, networking, and referrals. 2. Client Relationship Management Establish, maintain, and grow strong relationships with key decision-makers. Conduct meetings, presentations, and negotiations to convert leads into long-term clients. Ensure customer satisfaction and provide timely solutions to client concerns. 3. Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet or exceed targets. Track sales pipeline and performance metrics using CRM tools. Collaborate with internal teams to align offerings with client needs. 4. Partnerships & Alliances Explore and build strategic alliances, franchise partners, or channel networks. Negotiate terms and close partnership agreements to expand brand reach. 5. Market Expansion & Business Planning Identify new geographical or sectoral markets for expansion. Develop feasibility reports and business proposals for new opportunities. Contribute to pricing strategy, product positioning, and go-to-market planning. 6. Marketing Collaboration Work with marketing teams to support campaigns, content creation, and digital outreach. Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and conferences. 7. Reporting & Insights Prepare weekly/monthly business development reports for senior management. Provide feedback from clients and prospects to help refine products/services. Preferred candidate profile Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred). Proven experience (3-8 years) in business development, sales, or client servicing. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Strategic thinking with a strong commercial acumen. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
