This role will head the risk function for our lending business and oversee Data Analytics and Data Science for the entire organization. The individual will be responsible for driving strategic decision-making through robust underwriting policies, machine learning models, advanced analytics, and efficient risk governance processes. This role combines leadership, technical acumen, and cross-functional influence to impact core business outcomes. Key Responsibilities Risk Management & Underwriting Formulate and implement underwriting policies for retail lending products. Develop and monitor portfolio management frameworks including Through-The-Door (TTD) Metrics , Early Warning Indicators (EWIs) , and Expected Credit Loss (ECL) calculations. Define and refine collection strategies in collaboration with risk, operations, and collections teams. Data Science & Analytics Leadership Lead a high-performing team of data scientists and analysts across key projects in lending and growth domains. Develop and deploy machine learning models to assess credit/income using merchant transactions, consumer behavior, and bureau data. Drive lender recommendation systems to optimize loan approval accuracy and reduce 3processing times. Innovation & Strategic Insights Pioneer new data-driven approaches for generating actionable business insights. Identify and integrate alternate data sources to enrich credit decisioning and expand credit reach. Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to embed analytics in decision-making processes. Stakeholder & Partner Management Liaise with internal stakeholders and external lending partners/vendors for seamless data and risk operations. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk frameworks. Key Skills & Qualifications Leadership Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and large-scale programs. Strategic mindset with the ability to influence C-level stakeholders. Technical Proficiency Strong hands-on experience in Machine Learning , Predictive Modeling , Generative AI , and Advanced Analytics . Expertise in Python , SQL , Power BI , Tableau , and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) . Preferred Experience 10+ years in Risk Analytics, Credit Risk, or Data Science roles with at least 3-5 years in a leadership capacity.
