Python Automation Engineer

About the role:

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with deep expertise in API testing to join our team working on large-scale data migration solutions. This role focuses on building and executing robust automated test suites for validating NAS storage systems and services through API-driven testing in both cloud and on-prem environments.

What youll do:

• API Automation:

  Design and implement automated test suites for RESTful APIs and storage services.

• Framework Development:

  Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks tailored for API validation and integration testing.

• Test Strategy:

  Define and execute test strategies focused on performance, reliability, and scalability of storage APIs.

• Cloud & Hyperscale Testing

  : Validate API behavior and performance in hyperscale environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Collaboration

  : Work closely with development, DevOps, and product teams to integrate API testing into CI/CD workflows.

• Troubleshooting

  : Analyze test failures, debug issues, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve defects.

• Documentation

  : Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of test plans, test cases, and results.

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Python/Golang-based QA automation, with a strong focus on API testing.
• Experience into Ginkgo and Gomega frameworks.
• Experience designing and implementing automation frameworks for RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their storage services.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Own defect tracking, test reporting, and release readiness signoffs.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Good understanding of

We'd be super excited if you have:

• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Knowledge of storage protocols (e.g., NFS, SMB, iSCSI) and file systems.
• Background in storage domain or data migration projects.
• Understanding of virtualization and container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Exposure to performance testing using JMeter, or similar.
