Prompt Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and technically proficient Prompt Engineer with a strong software development background to join our AI/ML team. The ideal candidate will specialize in building and optimizing interactions with Large Language Models (LLMs), particularly using Prompt Engineering techniques and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). You will play a key role in designing intelligent solutions involving NLP, Generative AI, Data Extraction, and GPT models, and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy scalable AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize prompts for LLMs including OpenAI GPT models for a variety of use cases.
• Build end-to-end applications using frameworks like LangChain and integrate them with Azure OpenAI services.
• Develop and implement RAG pipelines for improved contextual responses using internal and external data sources.
• Perform data extraction and NLP preprocessing from structured and unstructured sources.
• Work closely with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Developers to deploy AI/ML features in production environments.
• Evaluate prompt performance, iterate rapidly, and apply best practices in prompt tuning and engineering.
• Develop RESTful APIs and backend services in Python to support AI-driven applications.
• Maintain model performance tracking, testing pipelines, and version control for LLM-based solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven expertise in Python programming, especially with libraries such as transformers, LangChain, and pandas.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and Prompt Engineering.
• Practical knowledge of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) techniques.
• Strong understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning concepts.
• Familiarity with Azure OpenAI, OpenAI APIs, and other cloud-based LLM providers.
• Experience working with data extraction tools and techniques for both structured and unstructured data.
• Solid problem-solving, debugging, and analytical thinking skills.
