Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning:

    Assist in developing comprehensive project plans, defining objectives, establishing timelines, and identifying resource requirements. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to create detailed schedules, ensuring tasks are properly sequenced and deadlines are met.
  • Documentation and Reporting:

    Maintain accurate project records, including contracts, permits, and change orders. Oversee document control processes, ensuring proper version control and maintaining an audit trail. Generate reports on project progress, budgetary performance, and resource allocation to provide stakeholders with up-to-date information for decision-making.
  • Resource Management:

    Coordinate the allocation of resources such as labour, equipment, and materials to meet project requirements. Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery and resolve any logistical challenges.
  • Quality Control:

    Implement quality control measures by monitoring construction processes, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control:

    Assist in budget development, monitor expenses, and track costs throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with project managers and finance teams to analyse budget variances, identify cost-saving opportunities, and make informed decisions to control project expenditures.
  • Stakeholder Communication:

    Facilitate communication between project managers, clients, and other stakeholders. Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and document minutes to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Compliance and Safety:

    Ensure that all construction activities comply with legal regulations, building codes, and safety standards. Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across all project sites.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in project coordination within the civil construction industry, preferably with a focus on railway projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
