Production Planning & Control

Job Summary:

The Production Planning & Control (PPC) Senior Executive is responsible for preparing and executing efficient production schedules, monitoring work-in-progress, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring on-time delivery of finished goods. The role aims to optimize resource utilization, reduce production delays, and support continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning:

· Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on sales forecasts and customer orders (Considering Capacity)

· Coordinate with sales, inventory, and procurement teams for planning material availability.

· Schedule machine loading and manpower deployment to meet production targets.

2. Material Requirement Planning (MRP):

· Calculate and plan raw material requirements as per the Bill of Materials (BOM).

· Raise purchase requisitions and follow up with stores and purchase departments.

· Monitor material shortages and take proactive measures to avoid production stoppages.

3. Shop Floor Coordination:

· Monitor the execution of production schedules on the shop floor.

· Track work-in-progress (WIP) and ensure adherence to timelines and process flows.

· Coordinate with quality and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and quality rejections.

4. Data & Reporting:

· Maintain accurate production records, shift-wise output, machine utilization, and rejection reports.

· Prepare daily/weekly MIS reports for management review.

· Analyze production data for identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement.

5. Inventory & Dispatch Coordination:

· Ensure optimum inventory levels of raw material, WIP, and finished goods.

· Coordinate with dispatch/logistics teams to ensure on-time deliveries.

6. Process Improvement:

· Participate in lean manufacturing, 5S, and cost-reduction initiatives.

· Support implementation of ERP systems and production tracking tools.

Key Skills & Competencies:

· Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and inventory control

· Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems (SAP, Tally, etc.)

· Good analytical and problem-solving skills

· Strong communication and coordination abilities

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Qualifications & Experience:

· Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering

· 2–5 years of experience in a PPC role in a manufacturing or engineering unit

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
