Product Engineer - Mechanical - Engine Calibration

We are looking for a skilled Product Engineer - Mechanical-Engine Calibration with 2 to 6 years of experience. This role is crucial for optimizing the performance and efficiency of our mechanical engines through precise calibration. The ideal candidate will hold an MTech or B.E. Mechanical or associated branches, with an MTech being preferred. Your primary responsibilities will involve participating in NPD (New Product Development) projects, specifically focusing on the calibration activities for new engine platforms. This includes planning and executing engine tests on dynamometers and test beds to gather data on performance, emissions, and fuel consumption. You will analyze test results, identify areas for improvement, and develop and implement calibration maps for various engine parameters (e.g., fuel injection timing, air-fuel ratio, ignition timing, turbocharger control). This role requires a strong understanding of internal combustion engine operation, control systems, and emissions regulations. You will use specialized calibration tools and software to fine-tune engine control units (ECUs). Collaboration with design engineers, software developers, and testing teams will be essential to ensure that engine calibrations meet all functional requirements and performance targets. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will be vital in delivering high-quality, optimally performing engines.
