Product Development Merchant

We are seeking an Assistant Product Development Merchandiser to join our dynamic team. In this role, you candidate will work closely with the Product Development Merchandiser to assist in the creation, development, and sourcing of new products. Will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product designs meet market needs and company standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in product development and merchandising within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Assist in researching market trends and consumer preferences to identify new product opportunities. Coordinate with design teams to develop product concepts that align with brand aesthetic and customer expectations. Assist is sourcing materials and suppliers, negotiate pricing, and maintain vendor relationships. Support the product development lifecycle from concept through production, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met. Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking to inform product strategy and positioning. Prepare and maintain product development documentation, including specifications, samples, and costing information. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop effective product launch strategies. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Merchandising, Business Administration, Fashion Design, or related field. Proven internship or entry-level experience in product development, merchandising, or related roles preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Passion for consumer products, fashion, and market trends.
