Job Description

The Principal Construction Support Engineer plays a crucial role in interpreting internal or external business issues and providing recommendations for best practices. You will be responsible for solving complex Construction Support (Eng) related problems and working independently with minimal guidance. As a specialist in Construction Support (Eng), you may lead functional teams or projects, requiring in-depth expertise in the field as well as broad knowledge of the discipline within the Engineering function. Key responsibilities of the Principal Construction Support Engineer include performing conceptual, FEED, and detailed analyses and designs based on project specifications and standards. You will manage your time efficiently to meet objectives, forecast resource requirements, and communicate complex concepts effectively. When acting as a Lead Engineer, you will direct an Engineering team, lead the discipline engineering design, and ensure project deliverables meet high professional standards. In addition to overseeing engineering design and execution, the Principal Construction Support Engineer will collaborate with various departments, manage interfaces, and provide technical direction to ensure clash-free designs. You will also be involved in procurement activities, quality audits, and project planning while monitoring costs and maintaining engineering integrity. As a Lead Engineer, you will serve as a point of contact with customers, prepare bids and project budgets, and lead the discipline team during audits and design reviews. Your role will involve coordinating with other disciplines, resolving technical queries, and anticipating project engineering needs to ensure successful project delivery. Reporting to the Manager (Construction Support Eng), you will collaborate with various engineering disciplines, departments, subcontractors, vendors, and customers. This role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture, Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering, preferably with a Master's degree, and 15-20 years of experience in oil and gas construction and installation design. Detailed knowledge of design techniques, analysis methods, and project coordination skills are essential for this position.,
