Job Description

As a Primary Teacher in Computer Science at our school located in Sector 70A, Gurgaon, your primary responsibilities will include delivering the curriculum effectively, implementing engaging teaching practices, assessing student progress, promoting digital citizenship, and actively participating in professional development activities. In terms of curriculum delivery, you will be expected to meticulously plan and deliver computer science lessons following the CBSE ICT syllabus and Cambridge Computing curriculum for primary years. Your role will involve introducing students to computer fundamentals, typing skills, responsible internet usage, basic software applications, and block-based coding such as Scratch and Blockly. Moreover, you will design integrated and inquiry-based lessons that align with interdisciplinary learning goals. When it comes to teaching and learning, you will utilize age-appropriate teaching methodologies and digital tools to create interactive, activity-based lessons. It will be crucial to differentiate your instruction to cater to the diverse learning needs of primary students and incorporate hands-on, project-based learning to foster critical thinking and collaboration skills. Assessment and reporting will be a key aspect of your role, where you will design and conduct formative and summative assessments in line with CBSE and CAIE standards. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records of student progress, portfolios, and performance, and actively contribute to student reports and parent-teacher conferences. Promoting digital citizenship and integrating technology meaningfully in the classroom will be integral to your role. You will be responsible for teaching and modeling responsible technology usage, digital ethics, and online safety. Furthermore, you will support other subject teachers in effectively integrating technology into their classroom practices. As part of your professional duties, you will actively engage in curriculum planning, staff meetings, and school events. Staying updated with the latest advancements in educational technology and curriculum changes will be essential. Moreover, you will contribute towards the overall growth and development of the ICT program within the school. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/IT or any related discipline along with a Diploma in Computer Applications. A B.Ed. qualification would be preferred. Additionally, a minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching primary computer science within a CBSE/Cambridge curriculum is required. A strong command of ICT tools and platforms such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and educational apps is also essential for this role.,
