Power Electronics Expert

The job involves working under the guidance of the Incubator AC battery Leader to ensure technical alignment. You will be responsible for running detailed analysis on existing power electronic boards developed by the Incubator. Additionally, you will design schematics of electronic board functions including snubber, high-current switching, over-current detection, and over-voltage limiters. It will be your responsibility to design board layouts considering system integration requirements. You will also assemble the 1st prototype board in the electronic lab and organize the assembly process of consolidated board designs by a local prototype EMS. Testing prototype boards in the electronic lab and supporting the AC battery prototype team to test new power boards on batteries are also part of the role. Creating a local electronic lab to develop and test prototype boards is another task you will undertake. Documenting power electronics design and validation activities with clarity and precision will be essential. You will prepare and deliver regular progress reports to both hierarchical and functional managers. Actively participating in Saft's Electronic Technical Circles to share knowledge and best practices is expected. Providing technical feedback and insights to enhance electronic design methodologies and keeping abreast of the state-of-the-art on power electronics for battery-related topics, particularly on multi-level converters, are also part of the responsibilities. In terms of technical knowledge, proficiency in electronic board designs with high current (>100A RMS) is mandatory. Experience with high-power switching devices such as MOSFETs, solid knowledge of converter topologies including multi-level converters, knowledge of snubber circuits, transient limiters, and over-current detection, and experience with PCB design tools like Altium Designer are required. Additionally, experience with industrial converters development, automotive electronic boards development, and knowledge of battery technologies and Battery Management Systems (BMS) would be advantageous.,
