Key Responsibilities

Develop and revise 3D piping models using
SmartPlant 3D (SP3D)
and
AutoCAD Plant 3D
Prepare extracts from the model: isometrics, GA drawings, pipe support layouts, BOQs/MTOs
Conduct model navigation (e.g., in Navisworks), clash detection, and resolution based on clash reports
Interface with process engineers, review P&IDs, equipment data sheets, vendor docs, and enforce nozzle orientation, accessibility, and maintenance standards
Ensure compliance with piping standards/codes (ASME, NFPA, IMC, etc.), validate piping models, perform calculations, and review vendor drawings
Provide guidance to junior designers and support multidisciplinary coordination and design reviews

Qualifications & Skills

Diploma/BE in Mechanical or relevant discipline, or ITI/Mechanical Draftsman certification
35 years (or 5+ for senior posts) of industrial/O&G piping design experience using SP3D, Plant 3D, CADWorx, MicroStation, Revit, etc.
Solid grasp of piping principles: layout, routing, supports, nozzle orientation, tie-ins, maintenance access, PMS knowledge of industry standards (ASME, NFPA, IMC)
Experience in generating deliverables: isometrics, GA drawings, support details, BOQs/MTOs
Familiarity with clash detection (e.g., Navisworks) and interdisciplinary coordination
Good communication, modeling review skills, ability to mentor juniors, and work independently
