Pega Business Analyst

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced and hands-on Pega Marketing Decisioning Architect to design, develop, and implement advanced marketing decisioning solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Pega Marketing, with significant practical experience in configuring, debugging, and validating strategies and decision frameworks. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise and business acumen, with a preference for candidates who started their careers as Business Analysts with operations exposure on the Pega platform.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of complex Pega Marketing decisioning solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical best practices.

• Hands-on Configuration and Development:

  Actively participate in the configuration, development, and testing of Pega Marketing components, including customer decision hub, strategies, propositions, segments, and campaigns.

• Debugging and Troubleshooting:

  Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues within Pega Marketing applications, including debugging strategies, data flows, and integrations.

• Validation and Quality Assurance:

  Ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of marketing decisioning logic through thorough testing, validation, and performance monitoring.

• Strategy and Decision Framework Modifications:

  Possess the ability to independently make changes and optimize existing strategies and decision frameworks within Pega Marketing to enhance performance and deliver business value.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and other technical teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and ensure successful solution delivery.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to Pega best practices, guardrails, and architectural standards.
• Contribute to the development of solution accelerators, reusable components, and technical documentation.
• Stay current with the latest Pega Marketing features, industry trends, and best practices in customer decisioning and AI.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 8+ years of overall experience in Pega technologies.

• 5-6 years of hands-on experience specifically with Pega Marketing as a user/developer

  , demonstrating proficiency in:
• Configuration of Customer Decision Hub (CDH) components.
• Designing and implementing complex Next-Best-Action (NBA) strategies.
• Building and managing propositions, treatments, and arbitration.
• Creating and executing outbound and inbound marketing campaigns.
• Debugging and troubleshooting Pega Marketing applications and strategies.
• Performing thorough validation and testing of decisioning logic.
• Ability to independently modify and optimize existing strategies and decision frameworks.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level Pega Marketing solutions.
• Strong understanding of Pega's Direct Capture of Objectives (DCO) and Pega Express methodology.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Prior experience as a Business Analyst with operations exposure on the Pega platform is highly preferred.
• Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) or Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) with a strong focus on Marketing/CDH.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
