PEB Design Engineer

As a Structural Engineer specializing in pre-engineered buildings (PEBs) and steel structures, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and ensuring the structural integrity of various projects. Utilizing software like STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, and other relevant tools, you will design PEBs and steel structures while conducting thorough structural analysis and calculations to guarantee safety, stability, and durability. Your role will involve developing detailed design drawings in compliance with industry standards and client specifications, including structural layouts, elevations, sections, and bill of materials (BOM). Collaborating with architects, project managers, and other engineers is essential to ensure that designs meet project requirements and timelines. You will also provide technical support during the construction phase, resolving design-related issues on-site. Adhering to relevant codes, standards, and regulations such as IS, AISC, and MBMA, you will stay updated with industry developments and incorporate best practices into your designs. Engaging with clients, understanding their requirements, and providing technical guidance on PEB design will be a key aspect of your job. Additionally, conducting quality assurance reviews, cost estimation, documentation, and reporting will be part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, possess 8 to 10 years of experience in designing PEBs and steel structures, and demonstrate proficiency in design software like STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, and Tekla. A strong understanding of structural analysis, load calculations, material specifications, and relevant codes and standards is essential. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are required, along with the ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain attention to detail and commitment to quality. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in Structural Engineering, professional certifications in structural engineering, and experience with BIM tools.
