Job Description:

We are looking for a technically skilled and enthusiastic Operations Trainee to join our manufacturing team. This trainee role is ideal for candidates with foundational knowledge and hands-on experience in welding, turning (lathe operations), and mechanical fitting. The selected candidate will be trained in end-to-end manufacturing operations, including production planning, process monitoring, quality assurance, and shop floor coordination.

This role offers a pathway to future leadership in plant operations or production management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the daily management of production floor activities, with focus on welding, turning, and fitting sections.
  • Learn to coordinate tasks across fabrication, machining, and assembly units.
  • Work with senior operators and supervisors to monitor workmanship, productivity, and adherence to technical drawings.
  • Support material handling, job scheduling, and maintenance of machine utilization records.
  • Inspect basic weld joints, machined components, and assembled parts for quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, 5S standards, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Participate in troubleshooting mechanical issues related to parts alignment, fitting accuracy, and welding defects.
  • Help implement process improvements and waste reduction initiatives under guidance.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Basic practical knowledge of:

o Welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Arc)

o Lathe and turning operations

o Mechanical fitting and assembly

  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Willingness to work in a shop floor or fabrication environment.
  • Familiarity with quality checks, measurement tools (calipers, micrometers), and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • ITI / Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Fitter, Welding, or Production Engineering.
  • 0–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment (internship or vocational training acceptable).
  • Practical workshop/lab experience in welding, turning, or fitting is highly preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
