Network Security Engineer

Experience: 6+ Years

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage secure network solutions including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
  
• Monitor and analyze network traffic to identify suspicious behavior and respond to threats.
  
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify risks and provide mitigation strategies.
  
• Maintain and update security systems, hardware, and software, including firewalls, routers, switches, and antivirus platforms.
  
• Respond to and investigate security incidents, breaches, and alerts.
  
• Develop and enforce network security policies, procedures, and best practices.
  
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure overall system security and performance.
  
• Conduct security audits and prepare reports for management and compliance.
  
• Keep up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technology solutions.
  

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  
• 6+ years of experience in network security or IT security-related roles.
  

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS, and SIEM tools.
  
• Proficiency in configuring and managing routers, switches, and network appliances.
  
• Experience with VPNs, SSL, IPsec, and secure remote access solutions.
  
• Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
  
• Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) are a plus.
