Key Responsibilities: Clinical Care: Provide comprehensive care to neonates, especially preterm or critically ill newborns in the NICU. Resuscitate and stabilize neonates at birth, particularly during high-risk deliveries. Diagnose and manage neonatal conditions like respiratory distress syndrome, sepsis, congenital anomalies, etc. Procedures: Perform and supervise procedures such as intubation, surfactant administration, central line placement, exchange transfusions, and cranial ultrasounds. Multidisciplinary Coordination: Collaborate with pediatricians, obstetricians, surgeons, nurses, and allied health professionals. Participate in perinatal case discussions and fetal anomaly meetings. Parental Counseling: Counsel families on neonatal conditions, prognosis, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
