Key Responsibilities: Patient Assessment: Evaluate patients with neurological conditions through physical exams, diagnostic tests, and imaging studies (MRI, CT scans, etc.). Review patient medical history and determine the appropriate course of action. Surgical Procedures: Perform complex surgeries involving the brain, spine, and nervous system. Conduct emergency procedures for trauma patients (e.g., head injuries, spinal cord injuries). Utilize minimally invasive techniques when appropriate. Pre- and Post-operative Care: Develop treatment plans and communicate surgical risks and benefits to patients and families. Provide post-operative care, monitor recovery, and manage complications. Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with neurologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to determine optimal patient care strategies. Documentation and Compliance: Maintain detailed and accurate patient records. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, medical ethics, and surgical protocols.
