Designation: MD, Pathologist Brief: A Junior Pathologist with minimum1 year of experience is responsible for analyzing laboratory specimens to aid in the diagnosis of diseases, offering clinical consultations, maintaining lab quality standards, and supporting research and training activities. Location: Cuttack Experience: · Minimum 1 year of post-MD/DNB experience in a pathology laboratory, diagnostic center, or hospital setting. · Hands-on experience in analyzing blood, tissue, and fluid samples, as well as working with laboratory equipment. Key Responsibilities: · Analyze blood, fluid, and tissue samples to detect abnormalities. · Basic understanding of Hemoglobinopathies, Inborn Errors of Metabolism (IEM), Newborn Screening, rare disorders. · Support the functioning of the laboratory by supervising processes related to sample collection, processing, testing, and reporting. · Maintain lab operations in accordance with ISO 15189:2022 Standards and other regulatory bodies. · Conduct periodic training sessions for laboratory technicians and junior staff on sample handling, test procedures, safety protocols, and documentation practices. · Conduct internal audits to evaluate compliance and performance. · Take part in institutional or independent research projects. Contribute to scientific publications, attend medical conferences, and stay updated with advancements in diagnostic techniques. Educational Qualifications: · Essential: o MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) from a recognized university. o MD / DNB in Pathology from a recognized institution approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI) / National Medical Commission (NMC). · Preferred: o Candidates with additional certifications or training in clinical pathology, hemoglobinopathies, Inborn Errors of Metabolism (IEM), Newborn Screening, rare disorders or laboratory quality management will be given preference. o Understanding HPLC machines and its methodologies Familiarity with ISO 15189:2022 guidelines is desired.
