A Fire Fighting Technician's primary responsibility is to ensure fire safety by maintaining, testing, and repairing fire protection systems and equipment. This includes tasks like inspecting and testing fire extinguishers, alarms, and sprinkler systems, as well as providing fire safety training. They also play a role in fire risk assessments and emergency response plan execution. Maintenance and Testing: Routine Inspections: Regularly checking fire extinguishers, alarms, sprinkler systems, and other equipment to ensure they are in working order and comply with safety standards. Testing: Conducting functional tests of fire protection systems to verify their proper operation, including smoke detectors, sirens, and control panels. Repair and Replacement: Addressing any issues or malfunctions identified during inspections and testing, including repairing or replacing faulty components.
