Position Overview: The Purchase Manager is responsible for overseeing all procurement activities related to the operation and maintenance of the power plant. This includes sourcing equipment, spare parts, consumables, and services required for plant functioning, ensuring that all purchases are made in a cost-effective, timely, and compliant manner. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of power plant equipment and supply chain dynamics, along with proven experience in industrial procurement. Key Responsibilities: Manage end-to-end procurement process for mechanical, electrical, and civil materials related to plant operations. Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers for equipment, spares, consumables, and technical services. Draft, negotiate, and manage supplier contracts, ensuring terms are favorable and risks are mitigated. Collaborate with stores and maintenance departments to maintain optimal inventory levels of critical spares and materials. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in the procurement cycle. Maintain accurate procurement records, audit trails, and vendor documentation. Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Finance, and Operations teams to align purchasing with operational requirements. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Supply Chain Management (MBA or PGDMM is a plus). Minimum 8–10 years of experience in procurement within a power plant or heavy engineering industry. Sound knowledge of power plant operations, mechanical/electrical components, and industry vendors. Have experience in reading civil/structural drawings and preparing BOQs using AutoCAD or similar tools. Key Skills: Sound understanding of construction materials, civil works, and plant procurement lifecycle. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and ERP systems. Strong negotiation, planning, and vendor development skills. Excellent communication and interdepartmental coordination abilities. Attention to detail and ability to handle large volumes of procurement data and documentation. Role Description We are seeking an experienced and proactive Instrument Engineer to support the maintenance and operation of instrumentation and control systems in our 8 MW biomass power plant in Phalodi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate functioning, calibration, and troubleshooting of all plant instruments critical to safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Install, calibrate, and maintain field instrumentation such as temperature, pressure, flow, and level sensors used in biomass combustion and steam generation processes. Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair control systems, analyzers, control valves, transmitters, and signal converters. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of all instrumentation and control equipment. Support the operation of biomass fuel handling systems, boilers, turbines, and ash handling through instrumentation maintenance. Work closely with operations and electrical teams during plant start-up, shutdown, and emergencies. Ensure instrumentation systems are operating within defined parameters and comply with HSE guidelines. Maintain documentation including instrument loop diagrams, calibration reports, and maintenance records. Assist in the testing and commissioning of new instrumentation systems and equipment modifications. Use test and calibration tools like HART communicators, loop calibrators, multimeters, and IR thermometers. Participate in the development and improvement of maintenance practices and spare parts planning. Qualifications & Experience: ITI/Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, or related field. Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in power plants, preferably in biomass, thermal, or renewable energy facilities. Familiarity with biomass plant systems such as combustion controls, flue gas analyzers, and steam pressure control loops. Hands-on experience with PLC/DCS systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, or equivalent). Knowledge of safety standards and environmental compliance relevant to biomass power generation.
