MYP DP Physics, Mathematics & Computer Science Teacher

As a Physics, Mathematics & Computer Science Teacher at Bloomingdale International School in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India, you will be responsible for designing and delivering a rigorous curriculum for the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). Your role will involve integrating hands-on experiments, coding labs, and real-world problem-solving to enhance conceptual understanding across the three disciplines. You will play a key role in preparing students for Internal Assessments, Extended Essays, and external examinations within the IB DP framework. By incorporating differentiated instruction methods, you will cater to the academic needs of a diverse group of learners and encourage inquiry-based learning while fostering interdisciplinary connections. Moreover, you will be expected to incorporate Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills, Theory of Knowledge (TOK) connections, and IB Learner Profile attributes into your daily teaching practices. Assessments will be conducted using IB criteria, and you will provide constructive feedback to support student growth. Collaboration with colleagues from various departments, participation in interdisciplinary projects and events, as well as maintaining student records and engaging with parents during Parent-Teacher Meetings are also important aspects of this role. To excel in this position, you should hold a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. A teaching qualification such as PGDIE, CIDTL, or B.Ed. would be preferred. A minimum of 3 years of IB MYP/DP teaching experience in at least two of the three subjects is required, along with a solid understanding of IB curriculum frameworks, assessment practices, and interdisciplinary learning. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or others relevant to Computer Science is essential, as well as competency in experimental and conceptual delivery of Physics and Mathematics.
