Key Responsibilities: Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnosing and repairing malfunctions in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Preventive Maintenance: Conducting regular inspections and maintenance to prevent equipment failures and minimize downtime. System Installation and Configuration: Installing and configuring new equipment and systems, ensuring they meet specifications and safety standards. Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine checks and maintenance on various equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs. Safety Compliance: Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and guidelines. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of spare parts. Collaboration: Working with other technicians, departments, and vendors to resolve complex issues and ensure smooth operations. Training and Mentoring: Providing training and guidance to other technicians or staff on maintenance procedures and best practices. Inventory Management: Managing and maintaining an inventory of necessary tools, parts, and materials. Specific Examples: Electrical Systems: Troubleshooting electrical faults, repairing wiring, replacing components, and ensuring proper functionality of electrical panels and equipment. Mechanical Systems: Maintaining and repairing machinery, pumps, motors, and other mechanical components. HVAC Systems: Maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including troubleshooting temperature and airflow issues. Plumbing Systems: Addressing plumbing issues, repairing leaks, unclogging drains, and ensuring proper water flow. Other Specialized Equipment: Depending on the specific workplace, this could include specialized equipment like refrigeration units, fuel dispensers, or other machinery.
