Job Description

- Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical or Tool Engineering. - Experience: 10-15 years in mould design, 5+ years in managerial role. - Industry: Electricals, plastics, automotive, appliances. Skills & Competencies - CAD tools: UG NX, SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD. - Simulation: Moldex3D or Autodesk Moldflow. - Leadership, problem-solving, manufacturing knowledge. - Familiarity with ISO, RoHS, safety standards. 1. Mould Design & Development: - Lead end-to-end design of moulds for injection, compression, and die-casting. - Conduct feasibility studies and mould flow analysis. - Validate designs for manufacturability and durability. 2. Team & Project Management: - Manage team of designers and engineers. - Oversee project timelines and deliverables. 3. Vendor Coordination & Tooling Procurement: - Coordinate with internal/external toolmakers. - Approve vendor drawings and supervise mould trials. 4. Process Optimization & Innovation: - Improve cycle time and mould efficiency. - Apply DFM and DFA principles. 5. Documentation & Standards: - Maintain design records and BOMs. - Establish internal standards and best practices.
