Location: Hyderabad Job Type: Full-Time Domain: Industrial Automation / Robotics / Inspection Systems Job Summary: We are looking for a hands-on and skilled Robotics & Automation Engineer to lead the integration of robotic systems into our advanced inspection setup. The ideal candidate will work closely with the hardware, vision, and software teams to automate movement, handling, and coordination of robotic systems with imaging and processing workflows. Key Responsibilities: Design, integrate, and program robotic arms (cobots or industrial robots) for automated inspection workflows. Develop end-effector tools and motion sequences to handle components (e.g., turbine blades, machined parts) with precision. Interface robot controllers with vision systems, PLCs, and inspection software. Create and optimize automated routines for object positioning, pick-and-place, and synchronized imaging. Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to align hardware design with robotic workflows. Configure safety zones, teach points, and fail-safe operations. Maintain logs, testing procedures, and integration documentation. Required Skills: Strong experience in industrial robot programming (e.g., UR, FANUC, ABB, KUKA, or similar). Hands-on integration of robots with vision systems, PLCs, or motion controllers. Experience with ROS, Python, or C++ for automation control (preferred). Familiarity with industrial communication protocols: Modbus, Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, etc. Good understanding of mechanical fixtures, kinematics, and coordinate transformations. Ability to read and work from mechanical and electrical schematics. Good to Have: Experience in inspection systems (e.g., machine vision, defect detection, or OCR). Exposure to structured light, high-resolution imaging, or illumination systems. Experience with simulation tools like RoboDK, V-REP, or MATLAB Robotics Toolbox. Prior work with cobots in a human-safe environment. Education: B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical, Electronics, or related fields. Role Overview We are seeking a hands-on engineer with strong expertise in Machine Vision and AI/ML for Image and Video Processing . You will help develop high-performance vision systems that combine precise hardware with intelligent software for real-world applications.
