Mechanical Maintenance Head

Maintenance Manager with extensive experience in the foundry industry, specifically in steel foundries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance Oversight:

  Lead and manage all maintenance activities across the plant, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

• Team Management:

  Supervise and train the maintenance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

• Equipment Maintenance:

  Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all machinery, including arc furnaces, heat treatment furnaces, and other production equipment.

• Troubleshooting:

  Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.

• Budget Management:

  Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, optimizing resource allocation and controlling costs.

• Inventory Control:

  Oversee spare parts inventory management, ensuring availability of critical components for timely repairs.

• Documentation:

  Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and safety inspections.

• Continuous Improvement:

  Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.

• Collaboration:

  Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure alignment of maintenance activities with production goals.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.

• Experience:

  12-18 years of experience in maintenance management within a steel foundry environment.

• Technical Knowledge:

  In-depth understanding of arc furnaces, heat treatment processes, and related machinery used in the production of railway items.

• Leadership Skills:

  Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.

• Problem-Solving:

  Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address technical challenges effectively.

• Communication:

  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
