Mechanical Designer - Water & Wastewater Projects

Job Title:

Mechanical Designer

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed mechanical and piping designs, including:
• Plot plans, piping GA drawings, tank/vessel drawings
• Skid GA drawings, isometric drawings, and pipe support details
• 3D modeling for plant and skid layouts
• Generate fabrication-ready documentation and BOMs
• Understand and apply customer specifications and piping codes (ASME, ANSI, API, etc.)
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, and project managers
• Support project meetings, design reviews, and vendor discussions
• Ensure timely delivery of design deliverables with high quality and cost efficiency
• Participate in site visits, as-built documentation, and project closures
• Assist with quality control, non-conformance handling, and improvement initiatives
• Support proposal teams with design inputs when required
  

Candidate Profile:

• Qualification:

  Mechanical Drafting Certification (mandatory), Mechanical Engineering Degree (preferred)

• Experience:

  Minimum 8 years in mechanical and piping design (preferably in water/wastewater industry)

• Technical Skills:

• 3D Plant Modeling Software (AutoCAD Plant 3D, SolidWorks, PDMS, PDS, etc.)
• Knowledge of fabrication, machining, casting
• Familiarity with piping materials, classes, and standards

• Soft Skills:

  Strong verbal and written communication, team collaboration, customer-focused mindset

• Other:

  Willingness to travel occasionally for project/site meetings
