Role Overview:
Management Trainees
The Management Trainee program offers exposure to key finance operations and enables trainees to contribute to critical business decisions, process improvements, and strategic initiatives. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to grow into permanent roles within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. MIS (Management Information Systems)
The focus will be on data analysis, reporting, and financial planning. You will be expected to:
- Develop and manage accurate and timely reports for the management team using advanced Excel tools (pivot tables, macros, dashboards, etc.).
- Assist in the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) reports.
- Perform variance analysis to compare actual vs. budgeted performance and provide insights to stakeholders.
- Support the finance team in preparing reports to drive decision-making.
- Maintain and update financial models to help with forecasting and budgeting.
- Assist in automation of reports and financial systems for improved efficiency.
2. Commercial (Collections & Communication)
This role focuses on managing customer accounts and ensuring timely collection of payments. You will be expected to:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding outstanding payments and collection inquiries.
- Follow up on overdue payments, negotiate terms, and escalate issues as necessary.
- Maintain and update the accounts receivable ledger and ensure accurate reporting of outstanding balances.
- Coordinate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve customer queries and disputes in a professional manner.
- Generate and send collection reminders and reports to clients.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
For MIS Role:
- Strong proficiency in
Advanced Excel
(pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.). - Understanding of
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
principles. - Ability to analyze large datasets and present clear, actionable insights.
- Experience with financial software/systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a problem-solving mindset.
- A Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
For Commercial Role:
- Excellent verbal and written
communication skills
to effectively engage with clients. - Previous experience in collections or customer service is preferred.
- Ability to handle difficult conversations and negotiate payment terms diplomatically.
- Strong organizational skills to keep track of client payments and disputes.
- A
customer-first mindset
with a focus on relationship management. - A Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
