Key Responsibilities:

Understand and analyze business requirements, system specifications, and technical designs to build test cases and strategies.
Design, develop, and execute test scenarios for mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
Validate data and perform back end testing using DB2 queries.
Prepare test plans, test data, and test reports adhering to testing standards.
Log and track defects using defect tracking tools and coordinate with development teams for resolution.
Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and best practices.
Participate in reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts in testing processes.

Required Technical Skills:

COBOL

Strong understanding of mainframe-based application logic

JCL

Expertise in writing and debugging Job Control Language scripts

DB2

Solid SQL skills for data validation, extraction, and manipulation

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
48 years of experience in mainframe application testing.
Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools like ALM / JIRA is a plus.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
