Employee wellness promotion and organizing training programs on safety practices, emergency preparedness, and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage will be crucial aspects of your responsibilities. Maintaining detailed records of incidents, inspections, audits, training sessions, and compliance reports, and submitting EHS performance reports to management and regulatory bodies will be part of your documentation and reporting duties. Leading the EHS team, coordinating with various departments, and fostering a culture of safety and sustainability within the organization will also be key responsibilities. To excel in this role, you must possess in-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and leadership abilities, and proficiency in documentation and statutory compliance. A Bachelors/Masters degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Industrial Safety, or Engineering, along with a Diploma in Industrial Safety and 5-7 years of experience in EHS management in the manufacturing or process industry, are the preferred qualifications for this position.
