Logistic Assistant

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate

  day-to-day warehouse activities

  , stock monitoring, and accurate record-keeping.
• Identify and evaluate the

  most cost-effective haulage solutions

  (road, rail, short sea & multimodal) for European & UK customer deliveries.

• Arrange and track on-time deliveries

  of customer orders; provide proactive updates.
• Maintain ongoing

  communication with warehouses

  to optimize inventory flow and cost.
• Explore and recommend

  alternative warehousing or logistics solutions

  to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure a

  smooth delivery process

  , resolving any logistical bottlenecks that may arise.

• Manage POD (Proof of Delivery) updates

  and ensure accurate documentation.
• Oversee

  processing and repacking reports

  ; ensure proper data logging and follow-up.
• Collaborate with the

  Purchase Team

  to align delivery dates and manage supply chain updates.

• Update and correct incomplete sales contract data

  in coordination with the relevant teams.
• Prepare and issue

  accurate sales invoices

  to clients in a timely manner.
• Assist in managing

  case and complaint resolutions

  , working closely with internal teams.
• Handle

  customer communication

  professionally and ensure timely response to escalations.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in

  Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Administration

  .

• 1–3 years

  of experience in logistics, warehousing, or customer service in a trading or supply chain environment.
• Strong knowledge of

  European logistics channels

  (short sea, multimodal, road).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); ERP experience is a plus.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and in a team.
• Fluent in

  English

  ; additional European languages are a plus.
