Job Description

-Urgently hiring for Linux Admin / Engineer (Third Party payroll ) for and IT client

Role & responsibilities

Design, configure, and maintain Linux-based server infrastructure (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.).
Lead system administration tasks including installation, patching, upgrades, and monitoring.
Automate routine tasks using shell scripting, Python, Ansible, or similar tools
Monitor system performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
Perform root cause analysis of system failures and implement preventive measures.
Enforce security best practices including OS hardening, patch management, and compliance.
Collaborate with DevOps, network, storage, and security teams to ensure smooth operations.
Support container technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Document procedures, processes, and system architecture.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
10-12 years of experience in Linux systems engineering/administration in enterprise environments.
Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, or Ubuntu.
Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, etc.) and automation (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM).
Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid environments.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools and pipelines.
Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management.
