Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Real Estate Transactions: Advise on and manage the legal aspects of property acquisitions, sales, and development projects. Review and negotiate real estate agreements including sale and purchase agreements, joint ventures, lease agreements, and financing documents. Coordinate with external legal counsel, government agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transactions. Contract Negotiations & Drafting: Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts related to real estate transactions, including construction agreements, tenancy contracts, and management agreements. Ensure all contracts comply with relevant laws, company policies, and risk management strategies. Legal Compliance & Risk Management: Monitor and ensure compliance with real estate laws and regulations, including zoning, land use, environmental, and property tax laws. Must have hands on RERA formalities Identify potential legal risks in business operations and propose mitigation strategies to senior management. Provide legal advice on dispute avoidance and resolution, including litigation matters when necessary. Regulatory and Corporate Governance: Assist in maintaining corporate governance standards for real estate projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, permits, and licenses. Advise on and support corporate governance policies related to real estate investments and transactions. Stakeholder Management: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., project managers, finance, and development teams) to provide legal support and ensure projects are legally compliant. Liaise with external legal advisors, government authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate the smooth progress of real estate projects. Legal Research and Updates: Stay updated on the latest developments in real estate law, market trends, and industry regulations. Conduct research on legal issues affecting the companys real estate portfolio and recommend changes to practices and policies as needed.
