Automation Test Engineer (Selenium, Playwright, Java/JavaScript) Location: Trivandrum Experience Required: 5-7 Years Job Type: Full-Time Work Mode: Hybrid Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Automation Test Engineer with 5-7 years of experience in automation frameworks and tools. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Selenium with Java, Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript, and have a solid understanding of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks, collaborating closely with development and QA teams to ensure software quality and reliability. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium (Java) and Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript) . Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web-based applications. Implement and maintain BDD test scenarios using tools like Cucumber or SpecFlow . Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, and product teams to understand business requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables. Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines. Perform regular maintenance of automation scripts and troubleshoot failures. Report defects, track issues, and work closely with the development team for timely resolution. Contribute to test plans, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Skills & Experience: 5-7 years of hands-on experience in Automation Testing . Strong expertise in Selenium with Java for UI automation. Working knowledge of Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript . Proficient in BDD methodologies and tools (e.g., Cucumber , Gherkin syntax ). Experience with automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit, Mocha). Good understanding of web technologies, DOM manipulation, and RESTful APIs. Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript testing tools and ecosystem. Experience with version control systems like Git . Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins , GitHub Actions , or Azure DevOps .
