Lead Data Engineer - Reporting

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Power BI Developer to join our dynamic data and analytics team. As a Senior Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust and insightful business intelligence solutions using Power BI. Your role will involve translating complex business requirements into clear, interactive, and high-performance dashboards and reports to drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. As a Senior Power BI Developer, your responsibilities will include leading the design, development, and implementation of complex, interactive, and user-friendly dashboards and reports using Power BI. You will also be required to translate diverse business requirements into technical specifications and impactful data visualizations, as well as develop and optimize Power BI datasets, analyses, and dashboards for performance, scalability, and maintainability. Additionally, you will implement advanced Power BI features such as rbac, parameters, calculated fields, custom visuals, and dynamic filtering to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity within all Power BI reports and dashboards. Your role will also involve identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks in Power BI dashboards and underlying data sources, implementing best practices for Power BI security, user access, and data governance, and monitoring Power BI usage and performance to recommend improvements as needed. Furthermore, you will ensure compliance with data security policies and governance guidelines when handling sensitive data within Power BI. To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field, along with 8-10 years of overall IT experience, including 4-5 years of hands-on experience designing and developing complex dashboards and reports using Power BI. You should have strong proficiency in SQL, an in-depth understanding of BI, and extensive experience with various AWS services relevant to data analytics, such as Redshift and RDS. Additionally, you should possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience working in an Agile development methodology, the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines are also essential for this role. Preferred skills that would be beneficial include experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau), proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation and automation.
